Michelle Rix Racing is built on a lifelong love for horses and the thrill of horseracing. Having grown up immersed in the sport alongside her father, trainer Harold Crawford, Michelle’s journey began under the Crawford-Rix Racing banner. Now stepping forward under her own name, Michelle is proud to carry that legacy into a new era, one that reflects her personal passion, professionalism, and vision for the future of racing.
The Yard Today
Based at the world-class Milnerton training facilities, Michelle oversees an ever-growing string of quality thoroughbreds. With a particularly exciting team of two-year-olds currently in the yard, the future looks bright. Every horse receives the highest standard of care, training, and attention to detail – something Michelle prides herself on. For her, the happiness and wellbeing of every horse always comes first, and it shows in the way they perform on the track.

Owners are encouraged to visit their horses at the yard, where they’ll find a warm, family-like environment. On race days, Michelle and her team host clients in their vibrant suite at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth, creating an atmosphere of excitement, camaraderie, and celebration.
Durban Campaigns
Michelle expertly balances campaigns in both Cape Town and Durban, ensuring her horses can compete at the highest level year-round. Her Durban string is carefully managed during the racing season, giving owners every opportunity to enjoy success on both stages.
Ready Steady Go Syndicate
For those wanting to experience the exhilaration of ownership, Michelle runs the Ready Steady Go Syndicate. Their very first horse, Beneath The Clouds, is already making her mark – proof of the exciting journey ahead for syndicate members.
